John Peel Vomits...
The Force Vomit Interview
Force Vomit

One of the up-and-coming bands in our local music scene,Force Vomit, has made it onto the BBC's John Peel Show. This is definitely a great recognition of their musical talents and sensibilities. Our man in the street, GrEg, manages to catch up with the Vomits right after they were featured on the BBC's John Peel Show.

GrEg : Can you tell us what is happening in your life now?

Neng : Life? We don't have a life!

Dino : You really want to know what's happening in our life now? You can't handle the information, man. You can't handle the truth.

GrEg : You guys were featured on John Peel along with Astreal? How do you feel about it?

Dino : It's amazing. It was a good feeling. For me personally, it was like the first time we heard ourselves on radio, which was on Radio Heatwave. It was on National Day eve, remember? Wati was playing the song and the only people listening were about six of us at the Atrium. We were like, excited like hell about it. And now, it's like John Peel. Whoa!

GrEg : How do you think that came about?

Dino : I think it's a good thing that Philip Cheah has these connections. Obviously, John Peel wanted to play it. He plays whatever he gets from the station or something. So, I think it's a good sign that he played us and Astreal.

Alvin :I don't think Philip Cheah went to ask John Peel to play us or something.

Dino : So, we'll take it as a compliment.

GrEg : What are your future plans?

Alvin : Get married. .........

Dino : We don't really think about the future, do we?

Neng : No.

Dino : We never plan on doing the Singles thing. We never plan on going on John Peel. All these just came about. Two years ago, we never even thought we'll go on John Peel.

GrEg: Do you all listen to John Peel regularly?

Dino and Neng : Nope. Hahaha....

Alvin : I don't think many people in Singapore listen to him.

Dino : It's like four-thirty in the afternoon.

Neng : Funny timing.

Dino : Yah! It's like everyone's at work or in school.

Alvin : I mean, when we are on John Peel, then we listen lah. That's about the only time.
