From the local band's biography, loads of well-taken gig pictures to lyrics to their songs from the album "Spellweaver". Well, looks like they've weaved quite a spell on the web. This site is one of BigO's many webpages but this particular one gets updated with the latest news and issue releases. Kind of simple as it contains mostly links, but still serves good info. 4 / 10 The Official Livonia Homepage Livonia's been really busy it seems... and they didn't forget to tune us in on the digital domain (the Net). The Livonia Official Homepage has all the essentials, from who's who in the band with lots of pictures, to their latest song lyrics, to even realaudio samples of their previous works as well as unreleased ones! Apart from a few technical errors, the webpages were very interesting, making it worth my visit and best of all, (surprise, surprise) it's one of the few local band pages that actually gets updated! 7.5 / 10 Suchness Excellence in graphic design and execution! Suchness's band homepage clearly demonstrates all the essentials of an engaging webpage. Not only does the site look great, but they've definately got lots of interesting info presented in a simple and well organized manner. (Aug 97)The Oddfellows' Home Page The Oddies are now online and you can check out the pioneering band's history, discography, samples of their music, the Oddfellow's FAQ as well as pictures of them. The Oddfellows' Homepage is simple, straightforward and quite stark, but you can't go wrong with it. Hope they've more time to improve it later. 6.5 / 10 Opposition Party - 'O' What Party? Opposition Party dominates the web with a homepage created with all the techno fixtures. Frames, rollover buttons and such all make for a dynamic homepage, demonstrating OP's purpose of standing out of the masses of the Net's homepages. Such intent is strikingly familiar to their band hardcore attitude. However, their online presence would be better presented if not for the overkill of techno-smartness. Major design flaws in displaying graphics and text of the band's info dampen the site's success in communication. Other than that, a significant site to follow. 7 / 10 Straight Jacket Experiment Local bands seem to have the interesting ability to create homepages that totally reflects their name and music. That's a good trait. Straight Jacket Experiment illustrates this point. Their opening page presents a B/W pseudo-movie animating graphic of their band's music, perfect for setting the mood straight from the start. The use of oriental masks and odd layout on the webpages make for the scary yet exploratory feel of the site. This is excellent. If SJE would practice more care, especially for certain down-right flaws in the opening graphic, their homepage would be a much more joyful visit. 7 / 10 Adge Zine For You Lean Mean, Hardcore Skateboardin' Fiends, this is the zine for your brain bean (don't ask). Adge Zine used to be a xerox zine and until recently did Alvin go online with it after a suggestion by a Canadian dude (that's pretty far!). For Hardcore fans, read this: Alvin's gone into retail and his new setup, Straits Records, does hardcore compilations and mail order. Do look up his webpage for your hardcoring needs! 7 / 10
