Digital Jockey "Sinner", spins the web for Substitute. With the amazing power of the Macintosh, he's been producing websites for a living. He hopes to get a job relating to new media communication and is very influenced by visual/auditory design. He manages CaveTech Media, a painfully bleeding edge media firm.

Gregory believed in the Substitute concept and so worked with Kevin in setting it up. Greg's the friendly alternative music editor. He plays bass guitar himself and digs Juliana Hatfield. He graduated from Mass Communication and is currently working in a multimedia company.

Sihui is a founding member of Substitute. She is focused on promotions and has helped Substitute get published on The Sunday Times, HYPE magazine, and even get featured on the Zax Trax radio show. Currently working in an advertising agency, her next step in life is to be a supermodel.

Daniel, of the band Livonia, has been quite an advocate of local music. Check out his cutting edge reviews of local gigs and you'll know what why he's such an excellent writer. An important figure on Substitute.

Pauline is the lead singer of her band, Sideshow Judy. She's got lots of zest in her writing, filled with lots of queer humour. One of the more pivotal members of Substitute.

"One time... Two Time... stupid Fugees", 'nuff said. Isaiah excelled in Radio Production during his Mass Communication course. He's in Australia where he's having cheap beers and enjoying good music over aussie radio. He reports on music concerts down under.

Little designs the fabulous covers for BigO and also takes great photos at local gigs as a hobby. His talent also extends to internet publishing and he's currently working on the Sideshow Judy homepage. Word has it that he's also involved in project "ULTRAMAN". Should be a real blast!

When Say Keong discovered Substitute, he wanted very much to contribute. As he sketches during his free time (lots in NS), he decided to produce a comic strip called "Local Dish". Say is a friend to many in the local music scene and also a contributor of reviews and articles.

Louise supports Substitute by helping in promotions. She helps spread news about Substitute events through the amazing female power called "word of mouth". Her favourite local band is Stoned Revivals and she also thinks there's good music all around but we need to get it closer to our people.

Limabean does undercover work for us. He gets the inside news on bands and works for BigO by conducting interviews and such. Don't ask me why he calls himself "limabean", he doesn't want you to know.

Patrick Chng is lead vocalist of the band called "The Oddfellows". Recognised as one of the pioneering bands in Singapore, he's quite an experienced musician to follow. Substitute is delighted to have him as our feature writer.

Cheewai is a tall NUS dude who wanted to help the local music scene... so what did he do? He called Substitute and asked to be a writer. Within a few days, he got an assignment and before you know it, his feature was published on the world wide web. Don't you wish you could do the same?

Friend of Cheewai, John also writes for Substitute on a part-time basis. He's lucky as being part of the Substitute means that you get special press entry into certain local concerts to carry out your assignments.

A Mass Communication graduate, Sau Leng writes music reviews for local magazines and offers her time to contribute to Substitute. Maybe Substitute might cover films/movies so she can review them for you too.

Jessie wanted to know more about the local scene and help in any way she could. We haven't met her as she's our newest member. Her first assignment should be done soon so watch for her write-ups.

Trevor Scully is of the band Denial and he writes to Substitute about the process of producing a demo. Hope we can get the feature up so that everyone can learn about doing demos.

Choon Keat is the unsung hero behind the CGI / Perl / JAVA / SuperSlick programming on <Substitute>. He helped setup the technical areas of Substitute such as the UnClassified webboard. Thanks to him, this site is way cool!

A avid follower of the local music scene who studies computer science. We figure she could help us produce a cool music mixing program for Substitute surfers in the near future.

Quentin does electronic media in Temasek Polytechnic and with his sidekick, vyrus, they are helping Substitute develop the secret Enhanced CD project. Codenamed "ULTRAMAN", the guys behind Substitute are planning the content for the ECD, while Quentin does the multimedia design.

Little information is currently available on the project "ULTRAMAN" except that Substitute is working with a few special individuals to get this amazing dream into reality. vryus is one of the selected media specialists behind this covert project which we hope will take the local music region by storm.

Wati Rahmat, the Promotions Executive of PonyCanyon, looking a bit Dazed And Confused herself. She is well respected in the local music scene as she looks after our indie bands, and provides them various opportunities to play at gigs and record CD compilations.

Paul Zach is the radio presenter for his programme, "Zach's Trax", which focuses on alternative music abroad and local. Voted "Favourite Radio Programme" in BigO's Reader's Poll for 1996. You can catch the show on Heart FM 91.3, Mondays at 10pm and a repeat on Fridays at 4.30am.
